Who we are

    We are a retail store located in Fort Collins, Colorado called The Koi Lagoon.  The Koi Lagoon provides a full line of products and services to meet the needs of landscaping and pond enthusiasts, aquarium enthusiasts, and several industrial/hobby needs. If you have a pond, or are thinking about installing or upgrading a pond The Koi Lagoon is a great place to start!

Our history

    The company started many years ago out of a need for and interest in pond fish and water plants.  The owners, Ray and Kathy Smith, enjoyed koi and aquatic plants but found difficulty in finding them.  They began a small business by sourcing and supplying fish and plants for local nurseries to sell.  Interest steadily increased and in 1997 The Koi Lagoon was created.

    With a huge local intrest in water gardening, the Koi Lagoon has grown, serving customers and supplying services to Northern Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska.  Our expertise in the filtration, plumbing, and technical aspects of ponds have helped many customers experienc a water feature that is functionally and aesthetically pleasing. The Koi Lagoon now offers a wide variety of services - a 7000 sq. ft. retail store, wholesale services to landscapers, equipment rentals, consulting and maintenance on ponds and monthly seminars.

    We also provide a full selection of pumps, hoses, tubes, fittings and other plumbing supplies for all sorts of projects. Whether you�re performing maintenance on your pool or spa, or are just trying to run that extra hose for an outdoor waterfall, having the right parts with the right fittings can help any project go a lot smoother.
